Penn State baseball eliminated

Share/Bookmark
The Big Ten Tournament will be held in Columbus, sans Penn State

The Penn State baseball team was dead, down 6-0 to #21 Minnesota heading to the bottom of the eighth. They made an improbable six-run rally and suddenly it was tied. Unfortunately, the Gophers pushed across a run in the top of the 9th and the Nittany Lions were unable to answer in the bottom of the frame. Combined with Purdue's victory over Illinois earlier in the afternoon and Penn State has been eliminated from consideration for the Big Ten Tournament.
