Penn State's Christian Kuntz to Pitt???

Share/Bookmark
Christian Kuntz is playing in Friday night's Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association East-West All-Star Game in Altoona. He signed with Penn State in February, but was wearing a Pitt Football T-shirt after emerging from the locker room following a practice at Mansion Park. Has Kuntz changed his mind about heading to Happy Valley?

"Oh, this? I got it at a camp. It was just something I threw on. I have to find a way to give these away. My dad usually wears it. I just picked it up."
Kuntz' attire isn't the only thing turning heads for the 6-5 wideout who is also the PIAA Hurdles Champion. Portage coach Gary Gouse, who is a West team assistant, had this to say...
"Whew. He's got the kind of talent that stands out. You throw it anywhere, he'll catch it."
Is Kuntz a life-long Penn State fan?
"I didn't hate Penn State, but I rooted against them because everyone else was rooting for them. I said, 'Oh, they're going to lose.' That's definitely changed now."
While he was growing up Kuntz rooted for Notre Dame (not surprising given that he play for Trinity High School in Camp Hill) and Maryland, where his father played football.

We expect Kuntz to get a long look this fall, given Penn State's graduation losses at wideout.
