Scouts, Inc. offers this evaluation...
Kolb is a massive offensive lineman that towers over the opponent on the front line. He has exceptional size and really moves his feet well for such a big man. He takes short steps and gets in sound position on the reach and zone block.

Comes off the ball a little high which is understandable due to his height. He needs to put his hands into the frame of the defender; his elbows are too wide at times. Inconsistent at delivering a powerful first blow. Does a very good job of knocking defensive lineman off the line of scrimmage.

Athletic enough for a big man and can be used as a motion H-Back in short yardage situations. Can completely obliterate the side of the line of scrimmage when down blocking. Gives good effort and works to sustain the block and finish the play.

Long arms are a big asset when pass protecting. Can keep the pass rusher off his body and buy time for the quarterback; must be careful with a speed rusher off the edge.

Kolb can be a major player at the next level with some more knee bend and use his hands more as a weapon on a consistent basis. He has exceptional potential to be a difference maker at the next level.
Kolb was also offered by UConn, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin.
