Burke is rated as the nation's 23rd-best point guard and 105th-best player for the Class of 2011.

Here are two recent evaluations of Trey from Scouts, Inc...
August, 2009: Trey is a point guard who can break you down off the dribble with ease to score or create for teammates off his penetration. He is at his best shooting the basketball when he can use a high ball screen and shoot behind the screen. He has good vision and sees the floor well when he pushes the ball in transition. He uses a couple of dribbles to get his rhythm to attack the basket and get his shot ready to go. On defense, he has very quick hands and does an excellent job of defending the basketball using good angles and sliding his feet well to keep his man in front of him. He contests shots and blocks out on each possession.

July, 2009: Trey is a scoring point. He has really raised his game this spring and summer. Trey led his team to the 16 & Under National Championship. He is tough, scrappy and a great competitor. Offensively Burke has a lot of moves and tricks. He has a good floater in the lane and an excellent pull up mid range game. Trey is also a solid jump shooter with range to 20 feet. He is a solid defender that is an excellent ball hawk. He seems to pick unsuspecting ball handlers about once every game. Trey has a solid basketball IQ. His grit, tenacity, and competitiveness separate him from others.
