But the decision must be mutual. In a statement yesterday, F$U president T.K. Wetherell said...

"Any coach can choose to retire at any time. However, it is the athletics director’s responsibility to determine which coaches are hired and which contracts are extended."

We were under the impression that Bowden's contract ran through 2010, but according to the Tallahassee Democrat, Bowden has been under a one-year contract these past two seasons.
