Ohio State kicker Aaron Pettrey (right) tore the medial collateral ligament in his kicking knee last weekend and will miss the rest of the regular season, his mother, Lillian, said Monday...Subscribe to Penn State Clips via EmailA fifth-year senior, Pettrey is 13 of 19 on field-goal tries (68.4 percent) and 28 of 29 on extra points. His 67 points rank him fourth in the Big Ten in scoring.
The field-goal duties will now be handled by Devin Barclay, a walk-on junior who saw his first game action after Pettrey's injury last weekend. He was 1 of 3 on field-goal tries, missing from 47 yards out, making from 29 and then missing from 36.
OSU also has redshirt freshman Ben Buchanan on the roster. He is Pettrey's backup for kickoffs, but was ill last week and did not dress. Barclay is the regular No. 2 for place kicks.
