So let’s just get this out of the way: who should start; Bolden or McGloin and why?
The Buckeye defense is going to come fast and furious. We can either start the kid who has shown leadership and savvy, but whose arm isn't strong enough, or a true freshman with a strong arm but may not be quite ready for prime time.

If someone is going to get killed, it might as well be the kid who's NOT the future of the program. We'll go with McGloin.
The Penn State defense has faced running quarterbacks the past two weeks, does that help them get ready for Pryor? In other words can they contain Pryor?
There are HUGE differences between Robinson, Persa, and Pryor. The former two are the entire offense, leading their teams in both rushing and passing. Pryor has way more help in the form of Boom Herron, who is rushing for 70 yards per game.

Pryor can scramble, to be sure, but the real danger is his ability to buy time until someone gets open. He's got some very dangerous targets in Dane Sanzenbacher and DeVier Posey, both of whom average over 15 yards per catch.

To answer the question, it doesn't appear we have the athleticism at D-End to contain Pryor.

We hear Scrap is game-planning Khairi Fortt at stand-up D-End and as the Fritz linebacker (Navorro Bowman's old position) in the 4-2-5 alignment in an effort to contain Pryor.
Ohio State isn’t unbeatable, Wisconsin proved that when they pounded OSU 31-18. Whether you believe it or not convince me that Penn State will win and back it up with something tangible (Alien abduction does not count).
Our only hope might be Joe Bauserman. If Terrelle Pryor gets hurt early and the Buckeyes have to turn to a walk-on who last started a football game in 1993 (we're not making this up), we might have a chance.

Other than that, we're going to thank the guy who put the points on footballs that make them take funny bounces.
What is your worst experience with a Buckeye fan?
Can't say as we've had any bad experiences with Buckeye fans, though we've never been to a game in Columbus.
Quick Hits
  • Number of times 400 wins is mentioned during ESPN Gameday... Since the GameDay crew will be in Columbus, this will be a big number, at least a dozen.
  • Number of times Heisman is mentioned in the same sentence as Terrelle Pryor... Zero.
  • Who wins in a cage fight: Matt McGloin or Kirk Herbstreit? Cage match? Nah, it was a slap-and-tickle fight.
