We once had a direct line to bilionaire hedge fund manager Paul Tudor Jones II. (The Wall Street Journal drawing at right is mislabeled.) He was a customer of ours many years ago when we were filling paper at the New York Futures Exchange.

Jones is one of the good guys who founded the Robin Hood Foundation to target poverty in New York City.

A few years ago Jones donated $35 million to his alma mater to fund the University of Virginia's new basketball home, John Paul Jones Arena, to honor his father.

Jones is also famous for the Christmas light display at his palatial estate in Greenwich, Connecticut.

The display is synchronized to a soundtrack that plays over the radio on 90.5 FM.

Four The Glory: Penn State Women's Volleyball

When we traveled to Champaign on September 24th to see Illinois snap Penn State's 65-match Big Ten winning streak, we couldn't have imagined the scene last night, with Penn State holding aloft yet another NCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship Trophy.

And the future's so bright for Penn State Women's Volleyball that Russ Rose has gotta wear shades.

Three freshmen played major roles last night: Ariel Scott, Katie Slay, and national Freshman of the Year Deja McClendon.

We also return several other players who saw significant minutes as well as Outside Hitter Darcy Dorton, who was an All-American last season as a freshman, but took a redshirt this season after blowing out her ALC.

What are Penn Staters hoping for in 2011?
