We met Pat Donghia (a/k/a Penn State Pat), Penn State's SID for Wrestling, earlier this month when we sat with he and Cael at the press conference the day before the Big Ten Wrestling Championships.As happy as we were about winning that tournament and then the National Championship, we are even sadder about the loss Pat suffered yesterday...
Pat's wife, Beth, died suddenly at their home in State College on Saturday.
Beth was a 1989 graduate of Holy Name High School in Reading and a 1993 graduate of Lock Haven University. She later received her masters degree from Penn State University.
Beth was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, State College, where she was Sunday School and Bible School Teacher. She was employed as a health and physical education teacher at Mt. Nittany Middle School with the State College Area School District.
Beth leaves behind two sons who are in elementary school, Grant and Conner.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Pat and the entire Donghia family.
