Mornhinweg (6-3, 190) gave a verbal offer to Stanford during his freshman year at Saint Joseph's Prep, but changed his mind when Cardinal head coach Jim Harbaugh left for the NFL.

Mornhinweg was also offered by Alabama, Boston College, Illinois, and Tennessee.
